Have you ever held someone's hand and instantly felt happier? We at Barefoot Wine are all about spreading happiness and love to all, including the LGBTQIA+ community. So, when the chance came up to talk about LGBTQIA+ hand holding, we knew we had to be part of it!
We've been allies of the LGBTQIA+ community for over 35 years, and we're excited to announce our partnership with a new global non-profit, Pride Wide, in 2023. Together, we want to spread the word about the importance of hand holding in public and why it should be a right for everyone, no matter who they love.
We're excited to bring some joy along the way and hopefully, make the world a little brighter.

I WANT TO HOLD YOUR HAND
Did you know that holding hands is not just a cute gesture, but it has actual scientific benefits too?! Holding hands can reduce stress, increase oxytocin (your "love" hormone), lower your heart rate, and improve blood pressure. So, it's not just about the warm fuzzy feeling, it's good for your health too!
Unfortunately, for LGBTQIA+ people, it can sometimes be challenging to hold hands in public. But we believe that everyone deserves to feel happy and spread love, no matter who they love. That's why we're excited to announce that Barefoot Wine and Pride Wide will be sharing the results of an exclusive survey of UK LGBTQIA+ people next week. We're eager to show how they feel about hand holding and why it matters to them.
We are also working together to get more people talking about hand holding and why it’s important, including on social media. Let's spread the message that holding hands is for everyone and that it can make Britain a better, happier place!
But that's not all, Barefoot Wine's funding to Pride Wide has an even bigger impact. They're going to be researching the issues that matter to the LGBTQIA+ community, telling stories that drive change, amplifying those through the media, and training others to do the same. How amazing is that?!
We're thrilled to partner with this pioneering organization and help make the community stronger and happier by promoting positivity and acceptance.
